Alu Dimer Pakora
A delightful Bengali snack combining potatoes and eggs in a crispy gram flour batter. The fritters are perfect as an evening tea-time treat or appetizer.
Preparation
Boil potatoes. Mash the potatoes coarsely leaving small lumps.
To the potato, add all the remaining ingredients except oil.
Cooking
Heat oil in kadai. Make sure the oil is very hot. However, turn the heat to medium just before adding the dumplings/pakoras.
Make small dumplings using your hands and add to oil.
Fry till dumplings/pakoras are golden brown.
Remove from heat and keep on paper towel to drain excess oil before serving.
A very delicious tea time snack and easy to prepare.
