Paneer Stuffed Karelas
Bitter gourds stuffed with a spiced paneer filling. The creamy paneer balances the characteristic bitterness of karela beautifully.
Preparation
Cut bitter gourd/karela into half.
Immerse the cut pieces in boiling water with salt and turmeric. Cover and boil for 5-6 minutes.
Remove and drain water. Let cool and then scoop out seeds from the bitter gourd/karela.
Stuff the pieces with paneer filling .
Cooking
Heat oil in a flat bottom pan.
Add stuffed karela and fry till brown.
