(Green Moong Dal with Whole Vegetables)

Serving Size: 4 persons

 

 

Ingredients:

Whole Green Moong Dal - 250 g

Choto Alu/Baby Potatoes - 6, with skin

Choto Begun/Small Eggplants - 6

Broad Beans - 10-12

Whole Pea Pods - 10-12

Ginger - 1 tbsp, finely chopped

Dry Red Chillies - 2-3

Mouri/Saunf - 1 tsp

Mustard Oil - 2 tbsp

Salt - To taste

 

 

 

 

 

Preparation:

  1. Wash and soak dal overnight.

 

Cooking procedure:

  1. Pressure cook dal with salt for 5 minutes (without lid) or till it just starts to boil.

  2. When dal starts to boil, add the remaining ingredients (except oil) and pressure cook on medium-high heat for 10-12 minutes or until vegetables and dal are cooked.

  3. Add mustard oil and remove from heat.

 

Serving Suggestions:

This dal is served with rice. Nutritious and delicious!
